In praise of beans

Beans are good food. They have no cholesterol and almost no fat. They are loaded with Proteins, calcium and iron. They have soluble fibre, which many people associate only with oat bran and they have omega-3 fatty acids which we tend to think of in fish oils. About the only thing that beans do not have is a good lobbying group to promote their advantages

Neal Barnard, M.D. Foods that fight pain.

We will add also that beans, lentils and legumes are not what you can just rustle up in 30minutes and present to your family.

Usually they need forward planning. Unfortunately the food industry has not helped with the cooked tinned varieties that are on our Supermarket shelves. They are bland and uninteresting.

Pulses, lentils and legumes have not been created just for soups.

We are about to change all that. You will be amazed at the various things beans lend themselves to.

We are the alternative food ingredients company and we will amaze you with the variety of products that we have.

This food group is under used because forward planning is needed. They cannot be rustled up in minutes. Yet they freeze very well and can be kept in the fridge for about 1 week and they taste better over time.
